Report: Jurgen Klopp would cut sabbatical short for Premier League job

After seven years at Borussia Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp announced at the beginning of June that he was taking a sabbatical from managing "until further notice."

Less than four months later, football's hippest manager is reportedly ready to return to the touchline.

Klopp is interested in working in the Premier League and would end his sabbatical for the right job, according to Sky Sports. His agent, Marc Kosicke, recently admitted his client would be interested in managing in England.

The timing of the report happens to coincide with questions about the future of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. The Merseyside club apparently denied talking to Carlo Ancelotti about replacing Rodgers, who finds himself a scapegoat for his side's poor run of form this season.

According to Sky Sports, Klopp hasn't been contacted by Liverpool, nor have the Reds expressed interest.

Klopp took over at Dortmund in 2008 after leaving FSV Mainz 05 and went on to guide the club to successive titles, including its first-ever double in 2011-12. He then got Dortmund to the final of the 2012-13 Champions League, where he was defeated by Jupp Heynckes' Bayern Munich.
