The NFL wants Bruno Mars back on the big stage at the Super Bowl, Billboard reports.
The league has invited the "Uptown Funk" singer, who performed at the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show in 2014, to perform at Super Bowl 50 in February.
That's not all. Mars was reportedly also asked to "curate" the halftime show. Details are scarce, but it's likely Mars would have increased power to select his co-performers.
Red Hot Chili Peppers performed alongside Mars in 2014 in what was an unlikely, but ultimately fairly successful, pairing.
Previously, Taylor Swift had been rumored to be in the running for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.
