Utah's Dominique Hatfield reinstated after dismissal

Ron Chenoy / USA TODAY Sports

Utah cornerback Dominique Hatfield was reinstated by head coach Kyle Whittingham after he was dismissed from the program for being charged with felony aggravated robbery and misdemeanor theft.

Although he previously said reinstating Hatfield was "unlikely," Whittingham told reporters Monday that Hatfield had enough punishment.

The coach hasn't said whether Hatfield, who won't be made available to the media, will play Friday against Utah State.

Hatfield started 10 games last year, notching 38 tackles while breaking up nine passes.
