VIDEO: Red-hot Encarnacion homers again, sets RBI record
With one swing of the bat, Edwin Encarnacion has slugged his way into the Toronto Blue Jays record books. Again.
Toronto's designated hitter extended his career-long hitting streak to 25 games with his 30th homer - and fourth in his last two games - during the first inning of Sunday's finale against the Detroit Tigers.

Encarnacion's 35 RBIs in August break a tie with Carlos Delgado for the most runs batted in for a Blue Jays player during any single month. Delgado drove in 34 runs in June 2003.
The opposite-field solo shot off right-hander Alfredo Simon was his third blast in as many at-bats after Encarnacion tallied three homers and a franchise record nine RBIs in the Blue Jays' 15-1 bludgeoning of the Tigers on Saturday.
Encarnacion entered Sunday in the midst of an offensive tear, batting .392/.446/.899 in August with a 1.196 second-half OPS.
