Melo fires back at Knicks fan: 'You are stuck with me'

Lesson here, haters: If you come at Melo in the comments, you best not miss.

Carmelo Anthony got into another war of words with another New York Knicks fan on Instagram. This time, Anthony wasn't defending Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis. Anthony was defending himself.

The fan called Anthony's commitment into question, which caught the ire of the proud superstar. Anthony, as he is wont to do, fired back.

Courtesy of ESPN New York's Ian Begley:

Shows how little you know about me. Staying in NY shows that I do care. If I would have left, what would you have said then? 'Oh, Melos wack for leaving. He turned his back on NY'. FOH.

You are stuck with me buddy. Deal with it. If you want me gone, I’ll personally walk you into the front office so you can plead your case of the Knicks trading me. Hope you have bail money (because) they might have you arrested for Disturbing the Peace.

It was a silly move on the part of the supposed Knicks fan to call out the team's franchise player. Since strong-arming his way to the Big Apple in 2011, Anthony has led the Knicks to the playoffs three times and made the All-Star team every season.

Granted, the Knicks have fallen on tough times following their 54-win campaign in 2012-13. Anthony has been unable to single-handedly carry his team back to the postseason.

But not having enough help is hardly Anthony's fault, and the team's lack of success is not reflective of a lack of effort. Or commitment, for that matter. Anthony signed a five-year deal with the Knicks last summer, despite having no shortage of suitors.
