VIDEO: Blue Jays' Donaldson, Bautista hit back-to-back homers vs. Royals

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Blue Jays can hit the ball no matter who is in the lineup.

With Troy Tulowitzki and Russell Martin taking a day off against the AL Central-leading Kansas City Royals, the Blue Jays still had no trouble at the plate Saturday.

Up 2-1 in the fifth, Mark Buehrle got some insurance on a one-run lead thanks to Josh Donaldson's two-run home run that scored second baseman Ryan Goins. His 26th blast of the year moved him up to sixth in the American League.

And if a three-run lead wasn't enough, Jose Bautista was next to the plate and took another Yordano Ventura pitch yard for his 22nd home run of the season, putting the Blue Jays up four.

The Blue Jays needed the fifth-inning outburst, as the Royals scored three off Buehrle in the sixth. Of course, Toronto does have Tulowitzki and Martin on the bench to pinch hit if needed late in the game, proving there's no such thing as too much offense.
