Aside from throwing a perfect game Saturday, there's nothing else Cole Hamels could have done to increase his stock ahead of the non-waiver trade deadline.
A day later, it appears as though the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers lead the field in the race for the veteran lefty, according to ESPN's Jayson Stark.
Both the Rangers and Dodgers view Hamels as an attractive addition, mainly because he's under contract through 2018, with a vesting option for 2019.
After no-hitting the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, momentum appears to be building towards a trade offer for Hamels, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

The report indicates that offers have improved, teams are asking for less money, while offering better players.
The five teams who appear to have the most interest in Hamels are the Cubs, Dodgers, Rangers, New York Yankees, and the San Francisco Giants.
The Yankees, though, aren't willing to part with Luis Severino or Aaron Judge, their top pitching and outfield prospects, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman. New York would also like to hang on to first baseman Greg Bird and shortstop Jorge Mateo.
