It didn't take the San Jose Sharks long to sign their latest acquisition.

Martin Jones has signed a three-year deal with the San Jose Sharks with a reported average annual value of $3 million, according to CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz.

The Sharks traded a 2016 first-round pick and prospect Sean Kuraly to the Boston Bruins for Jones on Tuesday.

Jones is widely expected to assume the starter's role when the season begins, but will face competition from Alex Stalock, who made 22 appearances in San Jose's crease last season.
