MLB announced Monday that the starting position players for the 86th Midsummer Classic will be revealed Sunday on ESPN ahead of the network's weekly "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcast.

Starting pitchers and reserves for the upcoming All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park, however, will be announced (along with Final Vote candidates) the following evening at 7 p.m. on ESPN's "Esurance All-Star Selection Show." Unlike the starters, the pitchers and bench players will be determined by a combination of player ballot selection and choices made by the All-Star Game managers, Bruce Bochy and Ned Yost.

With the All-Star Game only three weeks away, Salvador Perez of the Kansas City Royals leads all American League players with 10,199,571 votes, while Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper continues to pace the National League with 9,224,370 votes.

Fans have until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET to cast their ballots for the starters for next month's affair in Cincinnati.
