Carl Soderberg is a rich man.

The 29-year-old forward signed a five-year, $23.75 million contract with the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.

ESPN's Craig Custance was the first to report the deal between the two parties and had the figures as well, while TSN's Darren Dreger had a year-by-year salary breakdown.

ESPN's Pierre LeBrun adds that the contract includes a full no-trade clause during Soderberg's first two years with the team, which transitions into a limited no-trade clause in the last three.

Soderberg's rights were traded from the Boston Bruins to the Avalanche on Thursday and it didn't take long for the two parties to come to an agreement.

The Swedish product scored 13 goals and added 31 assists in 82 games for the Bruins last season.
