New York Mets manager Terry Collins was rather blunt when asked about his club's focus level of late following Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, the team's sixth straight defeat.

"All I know is we're not executing shit," Collins said.

Collins' frustration isn't at all surprising at this point. It was a late defensive miscue, after all, the led to Tuesday's loss, one that came at the hands of the second-worst team in baseball.

Though the Mets have yet to fall below .500 for the season, the club owns a disastrous 10-25 record away from Citi Field. Prior to Tuesday's game, the Mets placed catcher Travis d'Arnaud on the disabled list for the second time this season.

Michael Cuddyer, whose seventh-inning blunder in left field allowed the go-ahead run to score, was a bit more philosophical than Collins, though, after watching his team fall two games back of the division-leading Washington Nationals.

"We're being tested right now," said the 36-year-old. "We're going to see what we're made of."

Collins, whose lineup has been decimated by injuries to Daniel Murphy and David Wright, noted that the Mets will have a "little get together" ahead of Wednesday's game at Miller Park.
