Missouri's Harold Brantley expected to make full recovery after car wreck

Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley is expected to make a full physical recovery after he was involved in a car wreck on Sunday.

Brantley, who was not wearing a seat belt when his car overturned, is currently recovering from surgery on a fracture to his left tibia, according to the school's release.

The Tigers revealed additional injuries that Brantley sustained as a result of the accident, including multiple rib fractures and some damage to the ligaments in his left knee that will require surgery in maybe three to four weeks.

According to the traffic crash report, Brantley's vehicle slid off the left side of the U.S. 63 in Columbia on Sunday. He overcorrected the vehicle, which then veered to the right, struck the guardrail, and overturned.

The school stated that it was too soon to give a timetable as to Brantley's return to football activities.
