Missouri's Harold Brantley seriously injured in car wreck
Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley was seriously injured in a single car wreck on Sunday at approximately 1:55 p.m. CT, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Tigers spokesman said on Sunday evening that Brantley's injuries are not life-threatening.
According to the traffic crash report, Brantley's vehicle slid off the left side of the U.S. 63 in Columbia. He overcorrected the vehicle, which then veered to the right, struck the guardrail, and overturned.
Brantley's passenger Maddie Stock, identified by The Kansas City Star's Tod Palmer as a Missouri women's basketball player, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Neither Brantley nor Stock were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Brantley appeared in 14 games last season, recording 22 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
According to Palmer, Brantley was admitted in serious condition to University Hospital.
