Mario Mandzukic completes move to Juventus

Reuters

Juventus unveiled its newest signing Monday as Mario Mandzukic becomes the latest player to join the Italian champions.

The team announced that Mandzukic signed a four-year contract after they agreed to a €19 million transfer fee with Atletico Madrid for his services.

His deal also comes with a chance to earn an extra €2 million if certain performance-related objectives are achieved during his time at Juventus Stadium.

Mandzukic experienced a frustrating first season in Spain following his move from Bayern Munich last season. But despite clashing with manager Diego Simeone, he still managed to record 20 goals during 43 La Liga appearances.

It's been a positive start to the summer for the Champions League runners-up as Mandzukic becomes the third high-profile addition following the signings of Sami Khedira and Paulo Dybala.

His arrival might also be a strategic move to offset the possible departure of Carlos Tevez, who is believed to be on his way to either Boca Juniors or Atletico Madrid.
