Report: Carlos Tevez meets with Boca Juniors, Juventus expects him to leave club this summer

A return to Argentina appears to be on the horizon for Carlos Tevez.

The Juventus striker met with Boca Juniors officials Tuesday and expressed his desire to return to the club he started his professional career with in 2001, according to Amy Lewis of Sky Sports.

Pavel Nedved, the former Juventus star-turned-club advisor, was quoted Wednesday as saying that the Argentine striker has indeed made his decision to return home this summer.

"I think Tevez wants to go home," Nedved said.

"This year he has given so much, but he appears to have made his decision now. He gave a great deal in these seasons for Juve and this year practically never held back."

Tevez, who has a year left on his current contract with the Italian champions, has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

It would be an emotional return to Argentina for the 31-year-old striker, but also a move consistent with Tevez's unpredictable career path that's seen him spend time at six different clubs.
