Twins' Buxton scores winning run in 1st career game: 'It's an amazing feeling'
Byron Buxton's already putting his five-tool talent to good use.
The Minnesota Twins' speedy prospect made a fast impression on his team Sunday, racing around from first on a ninth-inning double by Eddie Rosario to score the winning run in his major league debut, a 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers.
"It was amazing, especially making your debut and scoring the winning run," Buxton told reporters after the game. "It's an amazing feeling. It's a day I'll cherish forever."

The late heroics salvaged an otherwise quiet first game for Buxton, who entered the season as arguably the top prospect in baseball.
Buxton, 21, went hitless in four at-bats, including a pair of strikeouts, and didn't reach base until a fielder's choice bunt in the ninth. He struck out swinging against Rangers right-hander Nick Martinez in his first at-bat before grounding out to third base in the fifth and whiffing on four pitches in the sixth.
Buxton, batting ninth and starting in center field for the Twins on Sunday, had an .840 OPS with 20 steals in 59 games for Double-A Chattanooga before being promoted.
