Report: Deal between Chelsea, Falcao is '90 percent done'

Radamel Falcao could be in line for his second stint in England, as reports suggest a deal with Chelsea is virtually complete.

One source told Jason Burt of The Telegraph that the deal is "90 percent done."

The agreement would be a second season-long loan from AS Monaco, but it hinges on Falcao's willingness to take a pay cut. Chelsea are also only willing to consider buying the striker if he returns to the elite levels he displayed with Atletico Madrid and FC Porto.

Chelsea has been linked with the disgruntled Colombian striker since the conclusion of the Premier League season, but they're insisting he lower his gargantuan £265,000 weekly wages following his poor season with Manchester United.

Burt also suggests that Falcao's arrival at Stamford Bridge could lead to the departure of Loic Remy, as the striker is in high demand throughout England and likely wouldn't settle for another supporting role while Diego Costa gets the majority of starts up front.

Manager Jose Mourinho has been full of praise for the 29-year-old, saying English fans shouldn't be fooled by last year's frustrating season, and that he would welcome the challenge of helping Falcao return to his level of dominance.
