It wasn’t necessarily a dominant, division-altering performance, but Frankie Edgar proved himself as one of the greatest lighter-weight fighters of all time with a unanimous decision victory over Urijah Faber at UFC Fight Night 66 on Saturday morning.

It was all about volume for Edgar, who piled on the points with consistent combinations, while Faber was content to try and pick his shots with well-timed counters from the outside.

Edgar started to take over in the third and fourth rounds, taking Faber down multiple times along the fence, though Faber proved to be almost impossible to hold down, and neither were able to inflict much damage.

"The Answer" closed out the fight with another solid round in the fifth, landing the cleaner combinations and keeping Faber off-balance with the threat of the takedown. Much like the earlier rounds, though, Faber could not be held down for more than what seemed like a microsecond.

It was an impressive performance by Edgar, who demanded a featherweight title shot following the bout.
