The Patriots' quarterback threw out the first pitch at the game to Red Sox star David Ortiz. It was another meeting of postseason MVPs, with Ortiz capturing World Series MVP honors in 2013 and Brady named the MVP of Super Bowl XLIX in February.

Boston is off to a 4-2 start to the season after finishing dead last in the American League East with a 71-91 record in 2014.
