Doc Rivers on Warriors' Green after Jones bump: 'I thought the guy was tough'

Upon being fined for bumping Draymond Green during Green's postgame interview Sunday, Los Angeles Clippers reserve Dahntay Jones said the bump was unintentional.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers went a step further, seemingly mocking Green's reaction to the incident.

"Honestly, I just saw it an hour and a half ago and, wow, that was such a violent bump," Rivers sarcastically proclaimed, as reported by the Los Angeles Times' Melissa Rohlin.

"I guess that tough guy in Golden State, the bump was too hard for him, clearly, the way he reacted," Rivers added. "My goodness. I thought the guy was tough. Anyway, that's my take on it."

The incident in question occurred after Green helped the league-leading Golden State Warriors beat the Clippers on national television on Sunday.

Draymond Green was ready to swing.

Jones was subsequently fined $10,000.

The Clippers and Warriors have been at each other's throats for much of the past two seasons. The 2013-14 season series reportedly included the two teams refusing to partake in pregame chapel together and a Christmas Day skirmish between Blake Griffin and Andrew Bogut.

The rivalry then came to a head when the Clippers outlasted the Warriors in a seven-game playoff series that ended with the two teams reportedly needing to be separated in the hallway following Game 7.
