Hudler, Varlamov, Talbot named NHL's 3 stars of the week

A pair of goalies and a red-hot forward have been named the NHL's Three Stars for the week ending March 8.
Calgary Flames center Jiri Hudler, Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov and New York Rangers goalie Cam Talbot have earned the honors, the league announced Monday.
Hudler led the league with eight points and shared the lead with four goals, helping the Flames post a record of 3-0-1 while keeping their playoff hopes alive. Two of his goals were game-winners.
Varlamov posted a record of 3-0-0 with a 0.69 GAA, .981 save percentage and one shutout for the Avalanche, while Talbot - filling in for an injured Henrik Lundqvist - posted a 2-0-1 record with a 0.99 GAA, .965 save percentage and one shutout for the Rangers.
