Jordan Leopold was traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Minnesota Wild on Monday, among a flurry of trade deadline deals.
Buried on the Blue Jackets depth chart, Leopold wasn't getting substantial playing time, appearing in only 18 games.
Leopold's daughter, Jordyn, wrote the following touching letter, as reported by Minneapolis radio station KFAN 100.3, pleading with Minnesota Wild coaches to pick up her dad:

"It isn't always just about business..." Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen wrote in a retweet of the letter.
Leopold has 213 points in 677 career games.
