The Columbus Blue Jackets appear set to welcome the second overall pick from the 2012 draft back to the lineup.
Defenseman Ryan has been activated off injured reserve after missing 36 games with a knee injury, general manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced Friday.
The 21-year-old has appeared in only four games this season, and will attempt to get back to the promising form that saw him record four goals and 17 assists as a rookie in 2013-14.
