Knicks officially sign Langston Galloway to 10-day contract

Finally, some help for Carmelo Anthony.

After waiving all three players acquired in Monday's three-team trade that jettisoned J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert, the New York Knicks have finally begun the process of searching for youth to develop.

The team officially signed Langston Galloway to a 10-day contract on Wednesday. Galloway had been playing with the team's D-League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, averaging 16.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.6 steals in 19 games while shooting 35.8 percent of his 3-point attempts.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Galloway went undrafted out of Saint Joseph's in June before auditioning with the Knicks in Summer League and the preseason.

The Knicks' roster now stands at 13 players, so expect further additions in the coming weeks.
