Bouwmeester back in action Thursday after missing 8 games with groin injury

Let a new ironman streak begin!
St. Louis Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester will be back in the lineup for Thursday's game against the New York Islanders after being out since Nov. 23 with a groin injury, according to head coach Ken Hitchcock.
The injury snapped Bouwmeester's 737 consecutive games played streak.
The previously durable defenseman recorded one goal and one assist while logging over 23 minutes per game through the first 20 games of the season.
