Derek Jeter isn't the only one saying goodbye to the game

Chicago White Sox veteran Paul Konerko is hanging it up after an 18-year career in which he has amassed more than 400 homers, second most in club history behind Hall of Famer Frank Thomas.

A touching tribute video was released Thursday in which the slugger shows his appreciation for Chicago fans, thanking them for their continued support.

The Cincinnati Reds traded the 38-year-old to the White Sox in 1998, and Konerko, a six-time All-Star, has been with the organization ever since. Konerko helped the White Sox win the 2005 World Series, the team's first since 1917.
