Barmes has earned more playing time of late due to his improved hitting. He's lifting his front leg prior to his swing and so far the change is working out. Barmes might be a good play against his ex-team Colorado over the weekend. It would be unwise to count on his hitting ability going forward, however. Barmes is batting .225 with two homers in 222 at-bats.
