Watch: Fowler hits 1st home runs with Cardinals

Scott Kane / USA TODAY Sports

It took Dexter Fowler until his 15th game with the St. Louis Cardinals to hit a home run. He liked it so much, he did it again.

Fowler provided all of the Cardinals' offense in the early going Wednesday, hitting a pair of solo homers off Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Gerrit Cole. The long balls propelled the Cardinals to a 2-1 lead after five innings, and inspired Fowler to take a curtain call.

It's the fourth multi-home run game of Fowler's career, and the first since June 2, 2013 when he was a member of the Colorado Rockies.
