Report: Oklahoma State to interview TV analyst Gottlieb for HC vacancy

Alonzo Adams / USA TODAY Sports

Oklahoma State will interview TV analyst Doug Gottlieb for its vacant coaching position, sources told Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

Gottleib, an Oklahoma State alum, has zero collegiate coaching experience, but athletic director Mike Holder is reportedly still intrigued by his potential.

The former ESPN and CBS personality recently inked a deal with FS1, and is set to host a new shot on FOX Sports Radio beginning April 24.

The Cowboys are in need of a replacement for Brad Underwood, who fled the program for Illinois on Saturday following his first season on the job. Gottlieb appeared to throw himself into the rumor mill almost immediately after Underwood's departure, tweeting a GIF that states: "There's no place like home."

The Cowboys are coming off a 20-13 campaign, which ended in a first-round loss in the NCAA tournament.
