Steph passes dad Dell on all-time list, but shooting struggles continue
Stephen Curry passed his father Dell on the NBA's scoring list Friday night. With his 15th point against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Steph moved past the elder Curry for 210th all time. The Golden State Warriors star finished with 26 points in a tough loss to the Wolves, and is now eight behind Jim Jackson for 209th on the all-time list.
Dell played 16 years in the NBA, while his eldest son is in his eighth season.
What's notable about their statistics is the fact Dell was widely known as one of the league's elite 3-point sharpshooters during his career. He was never a franchise player like his son, but the fact Steph already has almost 600 more treys than his father in just over half the games played is a testament to how much the game has changed since Dell retired in 2002.

Friday's accomplishment doesn't change the fact Steph has struggled of late, however. The 3-ball to pass his dad was his only trey of the night, as he finished 1-for-8 from deep. The defending two-time NBA MVP is shooting just 21.9 percent from beyond the arc in seven games since Feb. 27.
Coming into Friday's contest, he'd missed 29 of his last 36 wide-open treys (defined as the closest defender being 6-plus feet away), according to ESPN's Tom Haberstroh.
