Wichita State's Willis calls Kentucky 'nothing special'

Wichita State is on a roll, and Darral Willis Jr. doesn't foresee that changing when the 10th-seeded Shockers face No. 2 Kentucky in the NCAA tournament's second round Sunday.

"I just seen them play a few times, but it's nothing special. It's nothing we can't do," the junior forward told reporters Saturday.

The Shockers have won 16 consecutive contests heading into the Kentucky tilt, and held No. 7 Dayton to a season-worst shooting performance from the floor in the Round of 64.

"We're not scared to play any team on this planet earth," Willis added. "We're ready and we'll be ready to play tomorrow."

Wildcats coach John Calipari acknowledged the magnitude of the upcoming contest earlier Saturday, saying at his news conference that Wichita State feels more like a Sweet 16 or Elite Eight opponent than a Round 2 foe.
