Despite a recent report that the New England Patriots are unlikely to deal quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, they appear to still be open to a trade for the passer, if the offer is right.

"Everything is still on the table," a source told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

A preliminary offer for Garoppolo has been floated and another is expected to come soon from a second team, according to Cabot's source.

It will likely take a first-round pick and more to acquire the quarterback, who has recorded just 94 passing attempts in his three-year career.

Among the teams expected to pursue the 25-year-old are the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, and San Francisco 49ers. As Garoppolo is set to become a free agent after the 2017 season, whoever trades for him will likely look to sign him to a long-term deal.
