Albert Haynesworth calls out Tennessee for passing on Fulmer

Many praised the hire of John Currie as Tennessee's athletic director, but don't count Albert Haynesworth as one of those.

While the former Volunteers defensive tackle didn't specifically say he was upset about the hiring of Currie, he made it known loud and clear that he thinks the program should have brought back Phillip Fulmer.

Fulmer was the head coach from 1992-2008 and guided the team to a national title in 1998. The 66-year-old was reportedly the frontrunner for the job back in January, but the Volunteers ultimately opted to go in another direction.

Currie comes over from Kansas State, where he oversaw the football program win a conference title in 2012. If he duplicates those results in Knoxville, perhaps Haynesworth will change his tune.
