Alabama suspends Hale indefinitely

Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama will be without Shannon Hale for the foreseeable future, as the forward has been indefinitely suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

Crimson Tide head coach Avery Johnson announced the decision prior to Saturday's home game against LSU.

Hale, a senior, is averaging 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per game this season. That is the lowest-scoring average of his collegiate career, and a significant drop from the 10.8 points he averaged in 24.6 minutes per game for Alabama last season.
