These rankings will reflect standard scoring formats, taking into account each player's ability to produce in the following categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, 3-point shots made, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and turnovers.

Tier 1: Fantasy Superstars

3 Kevin Durant GS
4 Giannis Antetokounmpo MIL
5 Stephen Curry GS
6 Kawhi Leonard SA
7 LeBron James CLE
8 Karl-Anthony Towns MIN
9 Jimmy Butler CHI
10 Paul George IND
11 John Wall WAS
12 Anthony Davis NO
13 Kyle Lowry TOR
14 Draymond Green GS
15 Isaiah Thomas BOS
16 DeMarcus Cousins NO

Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins teaming up on the Big Easy sends waves through both franchises -- but there are very few positives to come from this move from a fantasy perspective. Both players are in the top-seven in terms of usage rate and touches at the elbow per game. Someone is going to have to step out of their comfort zone.

For now, it's safer to trust in the likes of Towns, Wall or most of the elite wing options as we head into the final stretch of the season. The production of Davis and Cousins will still be superior to most players in the league but growing pains have to be expected. Jrue Holiday is a great passer and secondary scoring option but it's hard to envision the Pelicans' guard not seeing a drop in his fantasy contributions as well. While having two monstrous physical forces in the frontcourt will help his assist totals, Cousins' style of play also features ball-dominant play-making. An awkward fit isn't going to be conducive to racking up dimes right away.

Tier 3: Secondary Guards, Forwards and UTIL Depth

Ibaka's value takes a hit with a trade to the Toronto Raptors. It's undoubtedly an upgrade in terms of real-life outlook for the veteran but as the third-wheel to the Lowry and DeRozan-led offense, his scoring should take a hit. Maybe a shift back into a supporting role will bring out his defensive contributions -- just look at his block totals from his years in Oklahoma City -- but don't bank on it.

The Kings' roster is looking pretty thin these days -- and it's only going to get worse as they strip the roster of short-term pieces. For now, Darren Collison is the lone above-average fantasy option left. If he's still in Sacramento after the Feb. 23 deadline, he'll be a top-80 asset; if he's moved, it won't be to a situation that allows him to take 10-plus shots a night.

Keeping with the theme of fallout from the Cousins and Ibaka moves from earlier this week, Terrence Ross and Willie Cauley-Stein have seen their stock bolstered by their newfound opportunities. Ross will have to compete for minutes on the wing with Evan Fournier but should see his scoring looks rise with the Magic. This is a player that once scored 51 points in a game.

Cauley-Stein's floor is lower than Ross' because of his relative inexperience but his ceiling is much higher, given the the massive Boogie-shaped hole in the Kings' frontcourt. If he can see 30-plus minutes a night, Cauley-Stein should be in line for double-doubles with defensive potential as well.

There's an old joke about eating out at a bad restaurant: The food here is terrible... and the portions are too small! Buddy Hield has been a 39.2% shooter in his rookie campaign, and that was with an All-Star drawing the defense's focus. Being in Sacramento will afford him a higher quantity of shots but that doesn't mean much when the quality of shots have been this poor.
