Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are going 12 rounds on Twitter.
After a flurry of activity Tuesday regarding negotiations for the oft-speculated megafight between the combat sports stars, Mayweather dismissed rumors of a deal being done by tweeting that he is "happily retired." McGregor countered by claiming that Mayweather backed off because "The Notorious" is currently visiting Las Vegas, where Mayweather lives and trains.
Mayweather fired off one last tweet later that evening, demanding that McGregor get things sorted out with the UFC before they move forward in their negotiations.

"Money" has repeatedly downplayed McGregor's ability to make fights without the permission of the UFC and president Dana White.
