Sebastian Lletget is staying put in Los Angeles.

The LA Galaxy announced Wednesday the club has inked the 24-year-old midfielder to a contract extension. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lletget, who joined the club in 2015, has been a standout piece in the middle of the park for the Western Conference powerhouse. Since his move from West Ham, the San Francisco native has started 40 MLS matches, pairing eight goals with 10 assists.

The versatile American has been deployed in a handful of positions during his time in North America's top flight, playing centrally, out wide, and in a more advanced attacking role.

The Galaxy's midfield is undergoing something of an offseason transformation - Steven Gerrard's retirement will likely be offset by the signing of Jermaine Jones, while rumours continue to swirl over the potential signing of Giovani Dos Santos' brother, Jonathan.

Regardless of who arrives, new boss Curt Onalfo will take solace in the fact that he will be able to call upon Lletget to fill any gaps that may arise.
