The LA Galaxy have been quiet thus far in the offseason - a little too quiet - but that might soon change as the club is reportedly pursuing a pair of possible Designated Player signings in Jonathan Dos Santos and Romain Alessandrini, according to ESPN FC.

Jeff Carlisle reports that the Galaxy - under new management with Pete Vagenas and Curt Onolfo after Bruce Arena's departure - could look to replace departed stars Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane with the younger brother of its current headliner, Giovani Dos Santos.

Jonathan, currently plying his trade as a central midfielder with Villarreal in La Liga, could also be joined by Olympique Marseille winger Alessandrini as the club looks to fill out its roster ahead of the 2017 MLS campaign.

Giovani had previously mentioned his brother Jonathan had expressed interest in an MLS move, while Alessandrini could be tempted with the promise of more playing time, having been limited to just seven matches this season since the arrivals of Florian Thauvin, Remy Cabella, and Clinton N'jie to Marseille.

The LA Galaxy have two open DP spots available for use, with Giovani occupying one of its allotted three; Ashley Cole is another star player but does not command a hefty salary at around $300,000 per year.
