Every Monday, I'll be publishing my rest-of-season player rankings for the top 200 players in fantasy basketball.
These rankings will reflect standard scoring formats, taking into account each player's ability to produce in the following categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, 3-point shots made, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and turnovers.
Tier 1: Fantasy Superstars
RANK | PLAYER | TEAM | TREND |
---|---|---|---|
1 | James Harden | HOU | |
2 | Russell Westbrook | OKC | |
3 | Kevin Durant | GS | |
4 | Anthony Davis | NO | |
5 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | ▲ |
6 | Stephen Curry | GS | |
7 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | |
8 | Kawhi Leonard | SA | |
9 | LeBron James | CLE | |

13 | Paul George | IND | ▼ |
14 | Draymond Green | GS | |
15 | Hassan Whiteside | MIA | |
16 | Jimmy Butler | CHI |
Antetokounmpo has reached another level in his fantasy production. His absurd physicality allows him to do things that few others can. His profile is similar to that of Harden and Westbrook in that he doesn't have a ton of incredible talent around him. All that's missing is a reliable 3-point shot; if the Greek Freak adds that to his game, the sky's the limit.
George was downgraded slightly as a result of his recent injury woes. He's back now but his owners have to feel a little anxious about how his body will hold up. You wouldn't be blamed for trying to trade George for Lillard, a safer option in terms of current health.

Fantasy owners expected Kyle Lowry to be the top dog in Toronto, but the two-time All-Star got off to a quiet start, in part because of DeMar DeRozan's high-usage. Both Lowry's atypical lull and DeRozan hot hand have regressed slightly, allowing Lowry to pull back ahead due to his better 3-point shooting and steals.
LaMarcus Aldridge's stats are down across the board to 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and a block per game. After 18 games, it's clear that this is more than just a scheduling quirk.

On a per-game basis, there are few as electric as Joel Embiid. The team has slowly increased his minutes limit - he has averaged 25.6 MPG over his last four games - but he's still sitting out the second half of back-to-backs. If your bench is large enough to accommodate his dead weight when the 76ers are playing but he's sitting out, then he's an incredibly value tool.
Rondo continues to be painfully enigmatic. His assists have dropped from 11.7 per game last season with the Kings to 7.2 with the Bulls. He's still a non-factor as a scorer and can single-handedly kill your free-throw percentage, but there aren't too many players out there that can give you 8.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game. He's still a viable PG2.
Lou Williams is on the short list for Sixth Man of the Year candidacy, helping keep the Lakers' backcourt afloat despite injuries to D'Angelo Russell, Nick Young and now, Jose Calderon. With 17.5 points, 3.4 assists and 1.9 3-pointers per game, he's absolutely more than a streaming option, and could perform like a top-75 until the team gets healthy.
Tier 4: Streaming Options
The delayed returns of Jeremy Lin and Tyreke Evans breathes an air of uncertainty into injury-stash situations. They're too risky to trade for but they should both be retained in INJ slots if possible. Both have produced within the range of a top-75-to-100 player when healthy.
Nik Stauskas is one to watch, as it appears that his much-ballyhooed perimeter shooting has finally arrived. He's only taking 4.1 threes per game but he's hitting 41.5 percent of them. If he can keep improving on the defensive end, there's an opportunity in Philadelphia to carve out nearly 30 MPG. As it stands, he has averaged 27.7 MPG over his past 11 games.
Tier 5: Fantasy Fringe

Dario Saric has to compete with Embiid, Jahlil Okafor, Ersan Ilyasova and Robert Covington in the frontcourt rotation. He dropped 21-and-12 against Boston in his last game but was invisible prior to that against Orlando. If the rookie can stabilize one area of his game - playing time, scoring, rebounding, etc. - he can start being taken seriously as more than a daily fantasy option.
