UCLA defensive lineman Eddie Vanderdoes has played his last game as a Bruin.

Vanderdoes announced Monday on his personal Instagram account that he will forgo his senior season at UCLA and intends to enter the 2017 NFL Draft.

"I would like to thank everyone affiliated with UCLA Athletics, the UCLA football program, and UCLA Academics for allowing me to progress where I am at today. It's been an honor to represent this University both on and off the field," Vanderdoes said in his statement.

Vanderdoes was seen as one of the nation's elite on the defensive line until a torn ACL cost him almost all of the 2015 season.

Vanderdoes joined the Bruins after previously committing to Notre Dame as a five-star recruit and the No. 1 defensive tackle in the country in the recruiting class of 2013.
