Fisher: Quinn still undergoing tests, signs 'encouraging'

Details on Robert Quinn's condition have yet to emerge, but the news the Los Angeles Rams have received appears to be positive.

Head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters that "things look encouraging" after the defensive end was admitted to hospital with an undisclosed medical issue Monday, via Gary Klein of The Los Angeles Times.

Fisher added Quinn is still undergoing tests, but he hasn't been ruled out for next week's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Quinn learned in high school that he has a tumor resting on the spinal cavity in his head, and speculation about a connection arose when a Facebook screenshot from someone believed to be related to Quinn indicated he'd suffered two seizures Sunday night.

Fisher declined to offer details before casting doubt upon the possibility of a link.

"I'm not going to go into specifics, but that's highly unlikely," Fisher said, according to Joe Curley of The Ventura County Star.

Quinn, a two-time Pro Bowler, has two sacks and a pair of forced fumbles over seven appearances this season.
