Los Angeles Rams announced that defensive end Robert Quinn admitted himself to hospital Monday morning due to a non-football-related illness. He is in stable condition.

Head coach Jeff Fisher will provide further details at a news conference Monday evening.

Rumors had surfaced Monday afternoon that Quinn had suffered a seizure. Rams blog Turf Show Times received a screenshot of a Facebook message from someone believed to be related to Quinn stating he suffered two seizures Sunday night. The messages were later deleted.

Quinn revealed in September to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times that he learned in high school he has a tumor in his head that rests on top of his spinal cavity. There has been no indication that his current illness is related.

Quinn had one assisted tackle in the Rams' 9-6 win over the New York Jets in New Jersey on Sunday.
