Donald Cerrone and Matt Brown have verbally agreed to meet in a welterweight bout at Dec. 10's UFC 206 in Toronto, reports FOX Sports' Damon Martin.

"Cowboy" had been slated to meet Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 205 on Saturday, but the fight fell through Friday morning after Gastelum failed to make the welterweight limit. The 33-year-old has won his three contests at 170 pounds, last finishing Rick Story by second-round knockout at UFC 202.

Brown had been scheduled to tangle with Tarec Saffiedine at UFC 207 on Dec. 30. "The Immortal" has lost two straight and four of five, most recently falling to Jake Ellenberger via first-round TKO at UFC 201.

If confirmed, the bout will be the second in two days to be shifted to the December card. Rashad Evans' middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy was rescheduled on Wednesday after an issue with his medicals forced him off UFC 205.

UFC 206 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between reigning champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony "Rumble" Johnson.
