Pat Hughes uttered the words Chicago Cubs fans never thought they'd hear.

The veteran radio announcer stayed poised behind the mic at Progressive Field, as he called Kris Bryant fielding Michael Martinez's ground ball to end the World Series - and the celebration that followed.

Somewhere, Ron Santo - Hughes' longtime partner - is hanging out with Ernie Banks and Harry Caray, raising glasses through tears listening in.
