Report: NFL interviewed Elliott regarding domestic violence claims

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was recently interviewed by NFL investigators as the league continues to look into allegations of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend, Tom Pelissero of USA Today Sports reports.

The Columbus City Attorney's office declined to press criminal charges against Elliott back in September due to "conflicting and inconsistent information" pertaining to all alleged incidents.

Elliott vehemently denied the validity of the claims against him throughout the process, and reports surfaced in July indicating the rookie had text messages proving that his ex-girlfriend was attempting to frame him.

Elliott has started in each of the first six games after joining the Cowboys as the No. 4 overall pick in this year's draft. He enters Week 8 with a league-leading 703 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 137 carries.
