Washington State's Mike Leach accuses Arizona State of stealing signs

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

For the second consecutive season, Arizona State and head coach Todd Graham have been accused of stealing signs, this time, by Washington State bench boss Mike Leach.

Leach took shots at Graham and the Sun Devils during a meeting with the media Monday, saying that he believes nothing has changed since the complaints from a year ago, according to Kevin Gemmell of ESPN.

"I think they still steal signs, and we'll have to keep an eye on that," Leach said. " ... That is a very unsavory practice they have, so we'll have to make sure our signals are safe."

Both Utah players, as well as Oregon coaches, made similar complaints last season, prompting Graham to adamantly confirm that the Sun Devils did steal signs and that it was not against any rules. Leach took the complaints to another level, however, suggesting that there is more involved with Arizona State's sign-stealing than people may think.

"They have a whole command center," Leach said, adding he has heard rumors of microphones and cameras being used to aid in the sign thievery.
