Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish just wanted to party all night, but life as a professional footballer isn't quite so lavish, it seems.

It's why the 21-year-old was fined and suspended by his club, after police were dispatched to a Birmingham hotel last weekend following a noise complaint.

And while BBC Sport reports that Grealish was not arrested nor thrown out of the party, Aston Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo was having none of the shenanigans.

"We've fined the boy and he was suspended for today," Di Matteo said, as quoted by BBC Sport. "It's not the first time but he needs to learn from the past and the only one who can do that is himself. He needs to make the right decisions.

"He's 21 now and needs to understand what kind of career he has ahead of him. As long as he does what he's supposed to do we will treat him like everyone else."

Grealish will be unavailable until a fixture against Burnley next Tuesday.
