Villa boss Di Matteo scolds Grealish after alleged hotel party

Although a lot has changed at Aston Villa since being relegated, Jack Grealish's actions off the pitch continue to frustrate the club.

The young midfielder is involved in yet another controversy after Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo confirmed the Championship side is conducting an internal investigation into reports Grealish was involved in an all-night hotel party.

"We are aware of an incident at the weekend," Di Matteo told the BBC.

"We started an internal investigation about it, which is still ongoing. When we finish the investigation, we will see what disciplinary action to take."

Grealish is said to have attended a party in which hotel guests phoned the police to make a noise complaint.

It's the latest in a long series of incidents involving the 21-year-old. He's had run-ins with previous managers Tim Sherwood and Remi Garde, and now appears to have irritated the team's new gaffer.

"Unfortunately it has happened again. We expect our players to behave in a professional manner at all times, so it is something that we don't tolerate," Di Matteo added.
