Report: Free agent Manny Lawson suspended 2 games

Timothy T. Ludwig / USA Today

Free-agent linebacker Manny Lawson, recently released by the Buffalo Bills, has received a two-game suspension from the NFL, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Bills didn't confirm why Lawson was cut, but at the time the NFL was investigating him about a potential suspension.

No reason for the suspension was given, but earlier in the summer, Lawson was reportedly being investigated for a 2014 domestic violence incident, according to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News.

Lawson, a 10-year NFL veteran, played the last three seasons with the Bills.
