Rickard Rakell has been removed from Sweden's World Cup roster as he continues to undergo tests for a stomach virus.
Replacing the Anaheim Ducks forward is Patrik Berglund of the St. Louis Blues.
Rakell was named to the roster as a fill-in for Blues forward Alex Steen, and was hospitalized Sunday in Sweden with an undisclosed illness just a few months after having his appendix removed.
Berglund, 28, has registered 128 goals and 262 points in 555 career NHL games. He has suited up for Sweden a number of times, most recently at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, where he recorded two goals and one assist en route to a silver medal.
